Daher bitten wir Sie, unsere Spendenaktion BORDA hilft wieder zu unterstützen. Denn „Schule darf nicht krank machen!“ . Mit der Bereitstellung der sanitären Einrichtungen für Schulen in Asien und Afrika wollen wir auch in diesem Jahr helfen, das Infektionsrisiko der Kinder signifikant zu senken und ihnen einen sicheren und menschenwürdigen Schulalltag sicherzustellen. Das weltwärts-Buch mit Informationen über Voraussetzungen, Möglichkeiten und Erfahrungen zum entwicklungspolitischen Freiwilligendienst"weltwärts"ist jetzt für 9,75 EUR im Buchhandel erhältlich. BORDA ist seit 2008 als Entsendeorganisation durch das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) anerkannt. Das Buch fasst die Erfahrungen junger Teilnehmer, die in den letzten zwei Jahrenüber BORDA ihren Freiwilligendienst im Südlichen Afrika oder in Asien geleistet haben zusammen und gibt nützliche Tipps rund um die Vorraussetzungen und Möglichkeiten des Weltwärts-Dienstes. Es richtet sich an junge Menschen mit Lust auf einen engagierten Freiwilligendienst (und an Eltern, dieIhren Kindern eine interessante Perspektive nahe bringen wollen). Der Reinerlös des Buches kommt der Spendenaktion"BORDA hilft!"zur Verbesserung der sanitären Versorgung an Schulen in den BORDA Partnerregionen zugute.

Visit of a delegation from Bremen at BORDA project sites in Southern Africa By Sven Meyer, BORDA Germany Invited by Windhoek, Namibia and Durban, South Africa, two twin cities of Bremen, a delegation from Bremen visited BORDA project sites in these countries. Members of the delegation were Mr. Reinhard Loske, Senator for Environment, Construction, Traffic and Europe (SUBVE) Bremen, Mr. Christian Bruns, Head of the Department for Development Cooperation in SUBVE and Ms. Silke Goethe, also Department of Development Cooperation. They were supported by Mr. Andreas Ulrich, director of BORDA, Germany.

Inauguration of DEWATS at the Staff Dormitory of the Faculty of Engineering By Kieu Ly Doan, BORDA-LIRE, Lao In the end of January 2010 the Lao Institute for Renewable Energy (LIRE) have completed a demonstration DEWATS as a community-based sanitation service for the Staff Dormitory Residence in Sokpaluang Campus in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering (FoE)– NuoL through its ICI Partnership Project with the Finland Futures Research Centre (FFRC).
